 Are AUB Dorms covered with wireless service?
How do activate the network socket in my room at the dorms? (Students Only)
I am a resident at Kerr Hall, and this dorm does not offer wired network connections at its rooms, how can I connect to AUB network services?
Myself and my room mate both need to connect to the network at the same time and there is only socket in our room at the dorms, What shall we do? (Students Only)

| | A: Yes, all AUB dormitories (Penrose Hall, Kerr Hall, New Women, Murex, Bustani, and Jewett) are covered with wireless service. To subscribe to AUB wireless network click on the URL provided below.

| | A: After you have completed the pre-requisites and bought an AUBnet Payment Slip (15,000L.L.) from the cashier´s office you can activate the network connection at your room by visiting the below URL.
Note: If you intend to use the wired network services at your dorm room because of a very low signal quality of the wireless network, please try to report such issue to wireless.support@aub.edu.lb first and they will try to resolve it.

| | A: First, only one of you is required to pay for the room network connection (via AUBnet payment slips). You can agree between yourselves to split the payment the way you want.
If you are planning to use the network connection simultaneously, you can purchase a 4-port Ethernet 10/100Mbps repeater (hub) from the local market (cost should not exceed 30-40$) and then connect the hub to the socket using a dedicated patch cord and then connect both computers to the hub. Note that 2 IP addresses have been allocated per room so that each one of you can have his dedicated IP address.
If you are not planning to use the network socket simultaneously then there is no need to purchase a hub.

| | A: The network connectivity service, known as DORMnet, is available in all Penrose Hall, New Womens, Murex Hall, Jewett Hall, and Bustani Hall dorm rooms. The pre-requisites, subscription procedure, computer configuration and policies are available at the below URL.
