 I am suddenly disconnected from AUBsis and I get the following message : "A break attempt has been detected. Do not try to perform any further registration action or refresh for 15 minutes." What should I do?
 I know my PIN but when I try to log on AUBsis, I get an error. What should I do?

 Q: Can you please outline the steps to register my courses on the web?   
 A: Please follow these steps:
1. From AUB´s homepage click on AUBsis next to the Students menu
2. Access the Login Secure Area.
3. Enter your student Id-Number and your PIN, reconfirm your PIN.
4. Select Student Services
5. Select Registration
6. Select Term Selection and select Summer 2000 - 2001 to register courses.
7. Select Check Your Registration Status to Display various items that affect student registration including registration holds and time tickets.
8. Select Course Registration - Add/Drop Classes.

 A: INCREASE CAPACITY
Get a petition form signed by the respective instructor and the chairperson and:
- Take it to the Registrar´s Office if the course is in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
- Take it to the concerned faculty if the course is the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, School of Business, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences.

- Go in person to the Registrar´s Office to activate your PIN.

 A: DISCONNECTION OR USER BLOCKING
- Don´t panic!
- This means that you have tried more than 10 refreshes/minute.
- Try again after 10-15 minutes.

 A: REMOVE MAJOR/ FACULTY/ PREREQUISITE RESTRICTION
Get a petition form signed by the respective instructor and the chairperson and
- Take it to the Registrar´s Office if the course is in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
- Take it to the concerned faculty if the course is the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, School of Business, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences.

- If the type of hold is related to financial issues, Contact Comptroller´s Office
- For other holds, Contact Registrar´s Office on the following numbers: 2584, 2573, 3575

Get Alternate Pin from your assigned advisor. For additional help, contact the Student Services Officer in your faculty.

 Q: How would I know who my advisor is?   
 A: From the Student Services/ Registration/ Check your registration status menu option, you can check your advisor´s name as well as other information that affect your registration.

 Q: I am suddenly disconnected from AUBsis and I get the following message : "A break attempt has been detected. Do not try to perform any further registration action or refresh for 15 minutes." What should I do?   
 A: Most likely you clicked the "Refresh" button several times. Wait around 10 minutes, then login to the system again. Please avoid refreshing your page frequently.

 Q: I know my PIN but when I try to log on AUBsis, I get an error. What should I do?   
 A: Check the following:
1. Verify you are using the correct Student ID number.
2. Verify you are using the correct PIN.
3. Verify that the you are using the correct case.

 Q: What are "Registration Permits and Overrides"?   
 A: Registering in some courses may need further clearance with concerned departments or Dean´s Offices.

The information displayed on the Check Your Regsitration Status web form shows any permissions granted to you in order to register for a course. These permissions are set to handle issues pertaining to Pre-Co requisites, Capacity, Special approval and other Restrictions.

 Q: What are "Registration Time Slots"?   
 A: Time slots for regsitration that show on your Registration Status information web form indicate the dates and times that you may register your courses through the internet.

 Q: What if I forget my PIN?   
 A: On the AUBsis Login page enter your User ID and press on the Forgot PIN? button. The system will ask you to answer your Security Question and then allows you to define a new PIN. Please check with the Registrar´s Office ext. 2580 in case you forgot the answer to your security question.

 Q: What is "class search" in the Course Registration and Add/Drop Courses?   
 A: The link for Class Search in the Registration and Add/Drop courses, helps you to look-up for available sections. Under each subject you can search by Course Number, Course Title, Schedule Type, Campus, Instructor Name along with desired days and time.

From the search list select the desired course section. You can then Register (the process of registering the course is performed), or Add to Worksheet (the course CRN is added to the array of the registration page. Upon pressing the Submit Changes button, the registration of courses is processed).

Other Registration Menu Options:
- Look Up Classes to Add: During Registration and Drop/Add, use this option to look-up and search for availability of places in courses.
- Student Schedule by Day & Time: Use this option to display and print the term schedule
- Student Detail Schedule: Student can display detailed information of his registered courses.
- Registration Fees Assessment: Option to display the selected term fees.

 Q: While registering I get the following message: "You have reached the maximum number of registration attempts. Do not try to perform any further registration action or refresh for 15 minutes." What should I do?   
 A: You will get this message if you try to execute a lot of registration attempts in a successive manner. As a result, you will blocked from using Add/Drop/Withdraw function for a period of 10-19 minutes. If you continue to perform successive registration attempts, you will blocked from performing any registration activity without the help of registrar´s office for the whole semester.

 Q: Who are my course instructors?   
 A: For a desired semester, the Regsitration/ Student Detail Schedule menu option, the course instructor´s name appears next to your lited courses.

 Q: Why am I unable to view my assigned courses?   
 A: You can only view sections (CRNs) that have been assigned to you.

If "No Instructional Assignment ..." message appears, then please inform your respective Dean´s Office to make sure that your name is assigned to your sections within Banner.
